Blessed Scrament Chapel

Adoration-Blessed Sacrament

First Friday Adoration and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament is a very old devotion in our Church -- one that highlights the fundamental mystery of the Holy Eucharist that Our Lord is truly present, body and blood, soul and divinity, in the Blessed Sacrament. During the Adoration the priest places the Blessed Sacrament on the altar while a hymn of praise is sung as the priest incenses the Blessed Sacrament. The faithful pray and foster a deeper spiritual communion with the Lord. There may also be prayers, such as a Novena or Liturgy of the Hours, and readings from Sacred Scripture accompanied by a homily or exhortation to increase the understanding of the Eucharistic mystery.

At the end of the period of adoration, the priest again incenses the Blessed Sacrament and then blesses the congregation with the Blessed Sacrament. After the blessing, the priest reposes the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle.

Adoration  and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament occurs every First Friday of the month after 7:30 am Mass.  Holy Hour from 8:00 am to 9:00 am.  Please join us and enrich your spirituality.
