Tuesday November 2 is All Souls Day, a day we remember all those who have died – especially family members and friends. We are especially mindful of so many in our community who have lost loved ones during the pandemic.
Throughout the long and painful months of the pandemic, our community has faced immeasurable loss: deaths of loved ones, severe illness, separation, stress, layoffs, business closings and much more. In one way or another, we have all experienced loss during this challenging, strange, and historic global crisis.
As a step in the process of healing, we invite you to a special Evening Vespers Prayer Service on Tuesday November 2 at 7:00PM in the church. Through Scripture, prayer, music, and reflection we will mourn those we have lost, comfort one another, and express our hope in the promise of resurrection. During the vespers service, the names of those we have lost within the last year will be read aloud.
You are welcome to bring a framed photo of your loved one to be placed on a special altar before the service as a symbol of our prayers and all that they meant, and still mean, to us.
