We look forward with joyful anticipation to once again be able to welcome our visitors and parishioners onto our grounds and into our church building. In order to keep everyone safe, and to comply with the COVID-19 directives of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and public health authorities, the following procedures and policies will be in effect until further notice:

General Reopening Protocols
As we gather again please observe the following:

• You must wear a face mask covering your mouth and nose at all times while on parish grounds, in the church, or in other buildings. This requirement does not apply to children 2 years or younger. Adults who are unable to wear a face mask should not come to church.
• If you exhibit a fever, cough, or shortness of breath you are asked not to enter the church or be on parish grounds. You should stay home in safety or seek medical assistance if needed.
• Hands must be washed or sanitized before entering the church or other parish buildings.
• Please use only the designated doors to enter or exit the church or other parishbuildings in order to maintain safe distancing requirements.
• No more than 100 persons may be admitted in church at any one time.
• Social distance of at least 6 ft. from others must be maintained at all times except between those of the same household. Please observe all floor markings to help maintain the proper distance.
• Once you are seated you must stay in your pew or seat and may not move around the church or congregate with others. Please follow usher’s instructions for Communion and for exiting the church.
• Please do not touch devotional objects such as statues and paintings, although you may meditate on them while maintaining the proper social distance.
• Those 65 years or older or those with underlying medical conditions are highly encouraged NOT to come to Mass but stay home and stay safe. Archbishop Gomez has dispensed the faithful from the obligation toattend Sunday Mass. You may view the livestream of our Sunday 10:00AM Mass on Facebook at: www.Facebook.com/StCyrilofJerusalem.

• Please wear face mask at all times.
• Please maintain at least 6 feet of social distance at all times.
• Please do not make physical contact or shake hands with anyone.
• Entry/Exit to the church will be restricted.
• Holy Water and candles have been removed.
• Hymn books, Missalettes, and Envelopes have been removed from the pews.
• To protect others, please refrain from touching statues and other points of contact in the church.
• There will be no choir/congregational singing at Masses. Musician & cantor only.
• There will be no collection. Baskets will be located near the exits for donations.
• There will no Sign of Peace. No handshake.
• Holy Communion will take place at the end of Mass. Communion will be distributed only on the hand. There will be no cup.

• 100 person limit per Mass, including ministers and volunteers
• You must make a reservation to attend Sunday Mass. The sign up link for the following weekend will be posted on the website each Monday.
• Please do not show up at the door without a reservation and expect to be let in, as you may be depriving someone else of their seat. 
• We will reserve a limited number of spaces for those who do not have internet access to reserve a seat online).
• When you come to Sunday Mass, please plan to arrive extra early. Doors will open 30 minutes before Mass.
• For Sunday Mass there will be two points of entry into the church, one on the East side, and one on the West side of the church.
• If  you wish to enter on the West side of the church, you may park either in the school parking lot or the Ventura Blvd. parking lot and proceed toward the double doors on the West side facing the parish hall.
• If you wish to enter the church through the East doors, You may find street parking proceed toward the double doors on the East side facing Firmament Ave. More people may enter through the West doors so you may wish to consider entering on the East side where it is likely to be less congested.
• All other doors will be closed.
• Prior to entering the church, you will line up outside the doors. In order to maintain social distance, pavement markers will indicate where people should stand to wait in line to enter the church.
• Church personnel will be stationed outside to check for face masks, sanitizer, and perform a symptom screening.
• A large sign (24x36) with the following six screening questions will be in view. Please review the following questions and prepare to answer:

• Church personnel will ask the following question: "Can you answer NO to all six of these questions?" If you can, you may proceed to the door to check in. If you answer YES to any of these questions, you will be courteously asked to return to your car and return another time.
• All visitors must check in before entering the church. Personnel will be stationed at the door to check your name against the pre-registration list. Remember you must make a reservation! Don’t just walk up to the door.
• Once inside the door, you will be instructed to sanitize your hands. You may use your own hand sanitizer if you brought it or use one of the hand sanitizer stations located near the entrance.
• An usher will then greet you and escort you to a seat.
• Every other pew will be roped off to maintain social distance.
• The number of people in each row will be limited in order to ensure 6 feet of social distance (couples and families living in the same household will be permitted to sit together).
• Once you are seated, please do not move about the church. For safety reasons, we discourage the use of the restrooms but they will be open for emergencies. If you need to use the restroom church personnel will escort you.
• The collection will be omitted. Baskets will be placed at the exits for you to drop your donations.
• The Sign of Peace will be omitted. Do not shake hands or make physical contact with anyone.
• Holy Communion will be only offered in the form of bread, and only in the hand.
• The Distribution of Holy Communion will take place at the end of Mass following the Final Blessing. After the Final Blessing, the priest will say to the entire assembly “The Body of Christ.” The assembly will respond “Amen.”
• Usher(s) will call people forward one row at a time in order to maintain social distance. Please remain in your seat until the usher calls your row.
• You may drop your donation in the basket as your approach the minister.
• When you approach the priest/minister, they will place the host in your hand in silence.
• After the minister has placed the host in your hand, please move off to the side, remove your mask, and consume the host.
• Once you have received the Eucharist you will immediately exit out the doors.
• Please do not linger in the church. We need to empty the building so it can be sanitized before the next Mass.
• For your safety and the safety of others we ask that you do not congregate outside the church. Please return to your vehicle and exit the campus immediately.

• For daily Mass no reservation is needed.
• Please plan to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to Mass time.
• For Daily Mass there will be a single entry into the church. The Firmament gate will be open and you may park in the school yard parking lot. All attendees will enter through the double doors on the West side facing the parish hall. All other doors will be closed.
• Please line up outside the West doors. In order to maintain social distance, pavement markers will indicate where people should stand to wait to enter the church.
• Church personnel will be checking for face masks, sanitizer, and symptom screening.
• A large sign (24x36) with the following six screening questions will be in view. Please review these questions:

• An usher will greet you and escort you to a seat. The two side wings of the church will be closed during daily Masses. All worshippers will be seated in the front half of the pews in the main part of the church.
• Every other pew will be roped off to ensure social distance.
• The number of people in each row will be limited in order to ensure 6 feet of social distance (people living in the same household will be permitted to sit together).
• The Sign of Peace will be omitted. Do not shake hands or make physical contact with anyone.
• Holy Communion will be only offered in the form of bread, and only in the hand.

• After exiting the church, we ask that you do not congregate outside. For safety, please return to your vehicle and exit the campus through the Firmament gate.
